Dr. Giancarlo Starinieri

I was born in Florence, Italy and raised in Southern Calif. It was in middle school that my love for running began and flourished throughout High School and into College. I was an All American Collegiate Athlete and World Class distance runner. One of my most memorable accomplishments was qualifying and competing in the Olympic Trials in the marathon in 1984. I studied medicine in Italy and graduated from UOP Dental School in San Francisco, Calif. Throughout my years of study, my college sweetheart, Gail, has been there by my side to help motivate and encourage me in any and all endeavors. We’ve been married 31 years and have 2 sons.

I enjoyed competing in X-Terra Triathlons after becoming a dentist and currently enjoy playing tennis, basketball, fishing, cycling and skiing. In the early 90’s, I was a volunteer instructor in the prosthetics department at USC School of Dentistry. In 1991, I received my certification from UCLA to place and restore dental implants and also received a specialty training certificate in Sleep Apnea treatment.

I have lived and practiced dentistry in the South Bay area of Los Angeles since 1989 and very much enjoy the field of dentistry and helping others.
